What happens if I tested positive for COVID-19?

If you test POSITIVE for COVID-19, keep your entire household home.

  • Most cases can be cared for at home (Do not go to the hospital unless you have a medical emergency)
  • Notify your supervisor of your positive test result and DO NOT GO TO WORK.
  • Call YDSP Clinic (858-1076) or Dispatch (860-9653) to self report.

Monitor any symptoms:

  • Note the day any new symptoms begin
  • Check your own temperature twice per day
  • Keep a daily record of fever, cough and additional respiratory symptoms
  • Seek further evaluation from a healthcare provider if your symptoms get worse. CALL AHEAD BEFORE VISITING YOUR DOCTOR.
  • Even if you don’t have any symptoms, you might make others sick.

Seek medical attention immediately if you develop any of the following emergency signs for COVID-19 or other medical emergencies:

  • Extreme difficulty breathing
  • Bluish lips or face
  • Acting confused Difficulty waking up
  • Slurred speech (new or worsening)
  • Constant pain or pressure in chest
  • Severe constant dizziness or lightheadedness
  • New seizure or seizures that won’t stop
