Updated COVID-19 Vaccinations

The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention recommend everyone aged 5 years and older should get at least 1 dose of an updated COVID-119 vaccine to prevent and protect themselves from COVID-19.

  • Children 5 years -11 years who are not vaccinated or have received previous COVID vaccine(s) should get 1 updated Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
  • People 12 years and older who are unvaccinated should get either:
    • 1 updated Pfizer-BioNTech or updated Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, OR
    • 2 doses of updated Novavax COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Ages 12 years or older and have previously been vaccinated prior to September 12, 2023, should get 1 updated Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna or Novavax COVID-19 vaccine.

If you are moderately immunocompromised, talk to your healthcare provider about updated COVID-19 vaccinations.

  • Unvaccinated children ages 6 months – 4 years should get 2 or 3 doses of updates COVID-19 vaccine depending on which vaccine they receive. Children 6 months – 4 years who have previously been vaccinated prior to September 12, 2023, should get one or two doses of updated COVID-19 vaccine depending on the vaccines and dosage they have previously received.
