EL PASO, Texas — Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (YDSP) celebrated the grand opening of their new healthcare facility. Tigua Inc. had the privilege of managing the clinic's construction, and joined in celebrating its opening with the community.

Esteemed guests, including representatives from tribal sovereign nations like the Navajo Nation and Indian Health Services Director Roselyn Tso, were present to commemorate this achievement. The opening showcases the successful outcomes of the Joint Venture Construction program between Indian Health Services (IHS) and sovereign nations nationwide. The program is part of the IHS's broader mission to enhance the health of American Indians and Alaska Natives across the country.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at the facility's new location at 200 Jose Sierra Drive, revealing an impressive 78,000-square-foot space ready to serve the growing health needs of the Tigua Nation. With 17 primary care rooms, the facility is equipped to meet the community's demands effectively.

The clinic boasts a comprehensive range of services available to tribal members, including optometry, dental care, behavioral health support, substance abuse programs, diabetes management, health education, and a multitude of social services. The facility further enhances patient accessibility with its own on-site pharmacy.

Tigua Inc. takes immense pride in contributing to this project, which significantly enhances the Tigua Nation's access to contemporary healthcare resources. The grand opening signifies a considerable landmark for YDSP, one of the three federally recognized Indian tribes in Texas.

Tigua Inc. remains dedicated and honored to support YDSP’s mission of improving the health of its people and is eager to continue these efforts in future projects.
